My Review: What a fantastic book this one is. The writing style of the book is unique. You get to see things through many eyes throughout the book. This makes it extremely interesting, in my opinion. It’s great to see things from each person’s perspective of events. The characters are so lively and realistic you would think they were really alive. The many personalities shine through with the way Kelly writes from the different viewpoints. You can tell she knows these characters in and out for sure. My personal favorite character is Vixen, a thief assassin. The plot is very interesting too as there are a few different ones going on. From the main one about Lorrek to the upcoming war in another character’s kingdom. They all weave and tangle to create such an amazing story. The settings differ drastically from one kingdom to the next. One you have snow, another is complete desert. Kelly describes them all beautifully and masterfully. You can imagine yourself in these places quite easily. The thing I loved most about this book is how things tangle and unravel at the same time. You learn the answer to this question only to come up with another question. Keeps you reading to find out the answers. I am highly looking forward to reading more of Lorrek and the other’s journeys. If you love adventure, magic and suspense, I recommend reading this book.
