Hello, my Lovelies! How was your week? Mine was great. Today I am reviewing Shandeera’s Blade, a short story about a young woman watching her special blade being made. Let’s get to it!
Title: Shandeera’s Blade
Author: Jack W. Rischel
Genre: Fantasy Short Story
Age Level: 13-18 years
Page Count: 4 pages
The Blurb: This is a short story (a little over 1,000 words) of Shandeera’s witnessing of her ‘special’ sword being forged.
My Review: What a neat, short story. The style it’s written in is so easy to understand and read. The characters keep your interest as they move through the story. Plot wise since it is a short story is pretty good. Jack obviously knew a bit about sword making, it seemed. The setting was a dwarf forge and was described really well. I enjoyed reading about how the sword was made, though I wish this story was longer. I want to know more about Shandeera and who she is after.
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
